Need a peaceful place to practice? $24 will get you an hour in one of our equipped studios. We have spaces with pianos, music stands, Auralex wall panels, and more.

Got a big event coming up? Studio 20, our event space, is also available for rental at $75 an hour (2 hour minimum, $50 non-refundable deposit upon booking).

Spencer McGillicutty with opener Castle Theater. Friday, Dec 19. Doors: 7:00. Music: 7:30. $20. Spencer McGillicutty is an indie pop group that formed in college in the early 2000s and recorded three albums while living in a house together in Minneapolis. The band will reunite for the first time in more than a decade to play old songs and celebrate the release of their brand new single, “What More Can I Do?” Castle Theater is the music of Minnesotan songwriter and home recordist Tyler Tholl. He’ll be joined by longtime friends and collaborators Dan Lehn and Pete James Johnson for a set of quiet indie folk.

Free Music Jam hosted by Ross Hackenmiller

Join us for a free music jam outside (weather permitting) hosted by Ross Hackenmiller! Connect with others in an all-comer improvised exploration of sound and music. Play a collection of random instruments, noisemakers, and other odds and ends.  Record sounds onto a communal recording loop. Sing, freestyle, or recite poetry over beats. Any and all are invited to participate, regardless of age, background, or skill level. Instruments and noisemakers of all kinds will be provided, though feel free to bring an instrument of your choice. Music is a fundamental human activity and a key ritual for connection- drop by the jam at Cadenza and add a sound to the community groove.

Bob Ekstrand & Vince Hyman present music for guitar and vibraphone FREE

Vince Hyman (vibraphone) and Bob Ekstrand (guitar) have put together a concert of classical and jazz music they've arranged for this unique combination of instruments. They will perform concert works by Debussy, Ravel, Bartok, Villa-Lobos, and Piazzolla, as well as jazz and Brazilian classics by Brubeck, Gismonti, Pascoal, James P Johnson, Fats Waller, and others. The program is free and open to all.
