Graduated with honors in stringed instrument repair from Southeast Technical College (Red Wing) where he studied violin with Lisbeth Nelson-Butler. He has built banjos at Nechville Musical Products in Bloomington, Minnesota and does violin repair and restoration for David Folland in Northfield, Minnesota. Andy builds banjos in his free time.

Strings wear out! We can swap out single strings or full sets depending on your needs.

Pegs, bridges, tailpieces, soundposts, and endpins can all be added, refitted, or adjusted to make sure your instrument is in peak shape.

Our luthier needs to see your instrument to assess whether a crack is salvageable. Please drop off during open hours for a quote.

fingerboard dress

Notice buzzing? Our luthier’s precise hands can smooth and finish your fingerboard for effortless play.

neck reset

Due to lack of care, age, or other various reasons, the neck of your instrument can be moved out of positioning with the bridge or body. We’ll make sure everything is put in place as it should be.

clean/polish

Pet hair, rosin residue, and other various particles can make their way onto your instrument. We’ll cleaning it thoroughly and make it shine.
